The following are not BC Provincial Carpet Bowling Tournaments.

Vancouver Island South - 2026

FOURS:        Wednesday, March 25, 2025

PAIRS, TRIPLES and FOURS will be played at :  Honeymoon Bay Hall

Cost:                                               $10.00 per player
Registration Start time:       9:30 am
Games start time:                   10:00 am

Remember to bring your lunch.   Coffee/Tea/Snacks will be provided.

Vancouver Island Carpet Bowling Association has 2 zones.  (North & South)   Each zone is permitted to enter 2 teams of fours, triples and pairs to the VANCOUVER ISLAND FINALS. 
To compete, your club will need to be a member of the Vancouver Island Carpet Bowling Association.  All players in a club can 'playdown' at their club to advance to this Vancouver Island South tournament.   Currently, these South Island clubs are eligible.   Honeymoon Bay, Crofton, Duncan, Cowichan Lawn Bowling /Carpet Bowling.   (more may be added as information becomes available.).  From these clubs, the winners will advance to the FINALS TOURNAMENT.
Medals will be awarded to first, second and third place winners.

55+ BC Games - 2026

Dates:  September 8 - 12, 2026

Location:  Kamloops, BC

  • The 55+ BC Games are an important part of the BC sport system and the largest annual multi-sport event in the province.  
  • Sports to be hosted will be announced early December 2025.
  • If Carpet Bowling is approved, there is a minimum requirement of teams needed to make a Carpet Bowling tournament work.  Registration opens on March 1, 2026.    Once the minimum requirement has been met, Carpet Bowling admin can proceed with tournament planning.   
(BC Provincial Carpet Bowling Association is not affiliated with the the 55+ BC Games;  all questions about the 55+ BC Games need to be directed to them on their website.)

Canada 55+ Games -2028

The Canada 55+ Games, originally set for Winnipeg in 2026, have been postponed to 2028 due to funding challenges and rapid growth in participation.


  • Approximately 2,500 competitors from across the country are expected to attend this biennial event. These Games have been held since 1996 and this time they will be held in to be announced.
  • Some sports will not be hosted in the 2028 Games, however, they remain on the list for selection by the 2028 Host Community.  (Carpet Bowling is not a core sport and therefore, the host city decides if it is added or not.) 
  • All questions about these games need to be directed to Canada 55+ Games on their website.

Honeymoon Bay

2nd 'just for fun' Tournament 2026

Tournament Day:  Feb. 21, 2026

Start time:  9:00

Honeymoon Bay Hall

Join us for this fun day of carpet bowling.

Up to 12 teams will be randomly drawn into teams of “Fours.” 

     * No one picks their own team.         

     * This means that you will sign up individually and discover your teammates on February 21th. 

     * Once your foursome has been drawn, your team will decide on each players position; 1st, 2nd, 3rd and SKIP.    

           * You may change positions within your team for each game.

Cost: No cost, it's a FREE event.

This is the plan for the day:  

     * Up to 12 teams of Fours to ( Max. 48 players) will play for one day.

     * Each game will be 6 ends. (Not the standard 8 ends)

     * Last game:  Ending approx. 4:00pm

 
 Lunch is FREE and donated to all players by Honeymoon Bay CB Club.
 Lunch Menu:   
Pizza (made fresh from our local merchant)

          * Don't forget to let them know of any dietary restrictions.
